Interactions of protists with human societies

Back to main index

Throughout history, humans have known how to use the organisms that surround it for food, the maintenance of health or comfort. Eukaryotic protists are no exception and we have used them extensively, often without realizing it. Like humans, eukaryotic protists use their environment to ensure their propagation, sometimes to the detriment of humans, their farms, crops or the objects they make. The interactions of protists with humans are therefore numerous and complex. In this final part of this book, we will take a look at some of these interactions.
